A mouse is trapped at the bottom of a 40 meters deep hole. Each day, he
crawls up 4 meters, and each night he slips back down 3 meters.
How many days does it take the mouse to get out of the hole?

days.
At the rate of 1 meter per day, on the 36th day, the mouse is up to
36 meters. On day 37, he crawls up 4 meters from 36, and he is
up to 40 meters & out of the hole!
