In
the middle of the night the fire brigade chief phoned the manager of a
struggling football club.
"Sir,
I’m sorry to have to tell you this, but the stadium is on fire!"
"Oh
no” cried the manager “Save the cups! Please save the cups!"
"Don’t
worry” jeered the chief” the fire hasn't reached the canteen
yet."
Recently
a burglar broke into the stadium of a Premier Division club, that is going
through a rough period, and stole the entire contents of the trophy room.
Police are seeking a man carrying a red carpet and a large oak desk.
